Stills that tell a story
Before/after comparisons, product shots from different angles, a UI flow captured as screenshots, burst photos that deserve to loop — a GIF made from a handful of stills often communicates better than a video, and it pastes inline into chats, documents, issues and READMEs where video needs a player.
Mixed sizes are handled honestly: the first image sets the frame, every other image is fitted inside it centred — never stretched — with your chosen background filling the rest. The palette is computed from your actual frames, so photos keep their colour. Everything is assembled on your device by FFmpeg in WebAssembly; nothing is uploaded and there is no watermark. For turning a video into frames instead, start at Video to GIF.
