X shows single images uncropped in the timeline when they are 16:9 (1600×900); other ratios get centre-cropped in previews. The header is a 3:1 strip at 1500×500, and on desktop the profile photo covers its bottom-left corner. Uploads are limited to 5 MB for JPG/PNG (15 MB for GIF); link-card images should stay under 1 MB.

What is the X header size?

1500×500 pixels (3:1), JPG or PNG under 5 MB. The profile photo overlaps the bottom-left on desktop, and the top and bottom edges are trimmed slightly on phones.
