  3. Download a copy that opens freely.

Easy to use

Drop files, pick options, download. Whole folders at once, no signup, no daily limit.

Best quality

The same engines the professionals use — SVGO, resvg, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif — compiled to run in your browser.

Private & secure

Files are processed on your device and never uploaded. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere.

For PDFs you can already open

Bank statements, payslips and invoices often arrive locked with a password you know but resent typing — and locked PDFs break previews, search and some printers. This tool decrypts the file with the password you provide and saves an unencrypted copy, entirely in your browser. Neither the document nor the password leaves your device.

To be clear about what it is not: a password cracker. AES encryption cannot be bypassed, and tools that promise to "recover" a forgotten strong password are selling something impossible. Going the other way — adding protection — is the Protect PDF tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can it crack a PDF whose password I forgot?

No — and be wary of tools claiming otherwise. AES encryption cannot be bypassed; this tool decrypts with the password you provide, then saves an unencrypted copy. It is for PDFs you can already open.

Why remove a password at all?

Password-protected PDFs are awkward: they break previews, search indexing and some printers, and typing the password every open gets old. Once a document no longer needs protecting, an unlocked copy is simply easier to live with.

Is the password sent anywhere?

No — it is used by qpdf running as WebAssembly in your browser and never leaves your device, and neither does the PDF.

Your files never leave your device

Most online converters upload your file to a server. InfyTool ships the actual encoders to your browser as WebAssembly instead, so processing happens inside your tab — faster for batches, and nothing to delete afterwards.

  • No upload, ever. Turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and every tool keeps working.
  • No limits. No file-size cap, no queue, no watermark, no account.
  • Runs on your CPU. Batches use several cores in parallel; nothing is throttled.
