Grids build the profile mosaic; post the tiles in reverse order (highest number first) so Instagram displays them correctly.

The numbered badges only mark the posting order on previews — they are never in the downloaded tiles. They also hide automatically while you hover the preview.

Runs in your browser. Files are never uploaded — you can go offline after the page loads.

How to use the Image Splitter (Grid Maker)

  1. Drop one photo — or send an icon over from InfyIcon.
  2. Pick a preset (Instagram 3×3, carousel ×3…) or set your own rows × columns; the numbered preview shows every tile.
  3. Download the ZIP and post the tiles — the tool tells you the right order.

The same engines the professionals use — SVGO, resvg, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif — compiled to run in your browser.

Private & secure

Files are processed on your device and never uploaded. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere.

The grid trick, without the guesswork

Split one strong photo into nine tiles and your Instagram profile becomes a single giant image — the classic grid takeover that brands and artists use for launches. The hard parts are the ones this tool does for you: cropping so every tile is a perfect square, cutting on exact pixel boundaries so the seams line up, and remembering that the tiles must be posted in reverse order because Instagram shows the newest post first.

The same splitter makes seamless carousels: split a panorama into ×2 or ×3 slides and the image flows continuously as followers swipe. Pair it with the social media resizer to get the source to the right dimensions first, and everything happens on your device — the photo never uploads anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

In what order do I post the tiles?

For a profile grid, post in reverse order — the highest-numbered tile first, tile 1 last — because Instagram shows the newest post top-left. The tool reminds you of this, and the numbered preview matches the final layout. Carousel strips are posted in normal order.

Why square tiles?

Instagram displays profile-grid thumbnails as squares (or 3:4 in the newer grid), so the tool centre-crops your image to make every tile a perfect square. Switch to “Whole image” to split exactly what you loaded instead.

Is my photo uploaded?

No — the image is sliced on a canvas in your browser and zipped locally. It never leaves your device.

Your files never leave your device

Most online converters upload your file to a server. InfyTool ships the actual encoders to your browser as WebAssembly instead, so processing happens inside your tab — faster for batches, and nothing to delete afterwards.

  • No upload, ever. Turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and every tool keeps working.
  • No limits. No file-size cap, no queue, no watermark, no account.
  • Runs on your CPU. Batches use several cores in parallel; nothing is throttled.
