Looking for an iLovePDF alternative?

The same everyday PDF jobs, done without your documents ever leaving your device — and an honest note on what they still do better.

The thing about PDF tools specifically

PDFs are where the sensitive documents live: contracts, statements, IDs, medical papers, salary letters. Upload-based PDF suites — iLovePDF, Smallpdf, PDF24's online tools — process them on their servers, with free tiers limited by tasks per hour, file sizes and features held for Premium. InfyTool's PDF tools run on the open-source pdf-lib and pdf.js engines inside your browser: the document never transmits, which removes not just the privacy question but the entire reason for limits. There is no task counter, no size cap, no watermark, no account — go offline after a page loads and it still works.

The everyday jobs, covered

Merge and split, compress (with the re-render trade-off stated up front), organize pages visually — reorder, rotate, delete from thumbnails — rotate, crop, sign (draw or type, place anywhere), page numbers, watermark, images→PDF and PDF→images, extract the embedded images, and extract text — including on-device OCR for scans in five languages. Each page says plainly what the tool does and doesn't do; no feature behind a paywall, because there is no paywall.

Where iLovePDF is honestly still better

Fairness first: choose iLovePDF (or Smallpdf/Adobe) when you need PDF→Word/Excel/PowerPoint with faithful layout — reconstructing editable Office documents from a PDF takes heavyweight server software that browsers cannot run; when you need password protection or unlocking (encryption support here is on the roadmap, not shipped); or when you want their mobile apps and Drive/Dropbox integrations. Their paid OCR also returns a searchable PDF (text layered under the scan), where ours extracts the text itself.

Try it on the job you came for

The most common path: merge the documents, number the pages, sign, and compress for the upload portal — four steps, zero uploads, no account. The full set lives on the PDF tools hub.
