Every count, live as you type
Words, characters (with and without spaces), sentences, paragraphs and lines update instantly, alongside an estimated
reading and speaking time — useful for staying under an essay word limit, a meta-description length, or timing a
speech. A small frequency chart shows the words you lean on most.
Everything is counted in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. To change the case of your text or tidy a list, see
Case Converter and Text Cleaner.
Frequently asked questions
How is reading time estimated?
From an average silent reading speed of ~200 words per minute and a speaking pace of ~130 wpm — handy for hitting an essay limit or timing a speech.
Does it count exactly like Word?
Word counts match in almost all cases; edge cases (hyphenated words, numbers) can differ by a hair. Character counts are exact, both with and without spaces.
Most online converters upload your file to a server. InfyTool ships the actual encoders to your browser as WebAssembly instead, so processing happens inside your tab — faster for batches, and nothing to delete afterwards.
No upload, ever. Turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and every tool keeps working.
No limits. No file-size cap, no queue, no watermark, no account.
Runs on your CPU. Batches use several cores in parallel; nothing is throttled.
