PNG compression

Lossless. Higher effort finds smaller files but takes longer.

Transparency

Transparent areas are filled with this colour, so the result has a solid background.

Runs in your browser. Files are never uploaded — you can go offline after the page loads.

How to use the JPG to PNG

  1. Click “Choose Files” or drop your images into the box above. Whole folders work too.
  2. Adjust the Advanced settings if you need to, then click “Convert”.
  3. When the row shows Done, click “Download” — or “Download all” for a ZIP.

Easy to use

Drop files, pick options, download. Whole folders at once, no signup, no daily limit.

Best quality

The same engines the professionals use — SVGO, resvg, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif — compiled to run in your browser.

Private & secure

Files are processed on your device and never uploaded. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere.

Converting a JPG to PNG does not improve it — the compression artefacts are already there — but it stops them getting worse. Every re-save of a JPG loses a little more; a PNG can be edited and saved endlessly with no further loss, and it can hold transparency once you cut the background out. This page opens the Image Converter pre-set to PNG.

Expect the PNG to be several times larger than the JPG: that is the cost of lossless storage of photographic detail. Use it as a working file, then export a compressed WebP or JPG for publishing.

This is a pre-set view of the Image Converter. Every option in the toolbar can still be changed.

Frequently asked questions

Does JPG to PNG restore quality?

No. The pixels are copied exactly as the JPG decoded them, artefacts included. What you gain is that further edits and saves stay lossless.

Why is the PNG so much bigger?

PNG compresses losslessly, and photographic detail compresses poorly that way. A 2 MB JPG can become an 8–10 MB PNG. That is normal; it is a working format, not a delivery format.

Will the PNG have transparency?

Not automatically — a JPG has no transparent pixels to carry over. The PNG can hold transparency once you remove the background in an editor.

Your files never leave your device

Most online converters upload your file to a server. InfyTool ships the actual encoders to your browser as WebAssembly instead, so processing happens inside your tab — faster for batches, and nothing to delete afterwards.

  • No upload, ever. Turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and every tool keeps working.
  • No limits. No file-size cap, no queue, no watermark, no account.
  • Runs on your CPU. Batches use several cores in parallel; nothing is throttled.
