Copies the streams untouched — instant and zero quality loss, but the cut lands on the nearest keyframe (may start up to a couple of seconds early).

Runs in your browser. Files are never uploaded — you can go offline after the page loads.

How to use the Trim Video

  1. Drop one video — it opens in the player.
  2. Play or scrub to the moment you want, press “Set start here”, do the same for the end.
  3. Trim — instantly and losslessly by default — and download the cut.

Best quality

The same engines the professionals use — SVGO, resvg, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif — compiled to run in your browser.

Private & secure

Files are processed on your device and never uploaded. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere.

Instant beats uploading — by minutes

Upload-based trimmers spend their time moving your file: a 300 MB recording uploads for minutes before any work starts. Here the file opens directly in your browser, and Instant mode copies the compressed stream untouched — the cut takes under a second whatever the size, with zero quality loss, because nothing is re-encoded.

The keyframe trade-off, honestly

Stream copy can only cut where the video has a keyframe (typically every 1–5 seconds), so an instant cut may start slightly before the frame you chose. For most jobs — dropping the fumbling at the start of a screen recording, sending just the relevant minute of a meeting — that is invisible. When the exact frame matters, Precise mode re-encodes the kept part frame-exactly at near-transparent quality. Cut first, then feed the result to Compress Video or Video to GIF — trimming is the cheapest size reduction there is.

Frequently asked questions

How can trimming be instant?

Instant mode copies the compressed video stream untouched (FFmpeg’s -c copy) — no decoding, no re-encoding, no quality loss, regardless of length. The one trade-off: cuts land on the nearest keyframe, so the start can be up to a couple of seconds before the exact frame you chose.

When do I need Precise mode?

When the cut must land on the exact frame — a beat drop, a spoken word. Precise re-encodes the kept part (H.264, near-transparent quality), which takes roughly as long as the kept clip and re-compresses once.

Is a big video really not uploaded?

Really. The file opens directly in your browser’s memory and FFmpeg processes it there. A 500 MB screen recording never touches the network — which is also why the instant mode is faster than any upload-based trimmer could ever be.

Your files never leave your device

Most online converters upload your file to a server. InfyTool ships the actual encoders to your browser as WebAssembly instead, so processing happens inside your tab — faster for batches, and nothing to delete afterwards.

  • No upload, ever. Turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and every tool keeps working.
  • No limits. No file-size cap, no queue, no watermark, no account.
  • Runs on your CPU. Batches use several cores in parallel; nothing is throttled.
